Data centers

Power and cooling that never stops.

Antivibration mounts, seals and cable entries for data center gensets, transformers, chillers, CDUs and prefabricated modules – engineered by Trelleborg and supported by application engineers close to your sites.

Why it matters

Data center equipment runs around the clock. Small components decide whether it runs quietly, tightly and safely.

Noise at the site boundary

Chillers, dry coolers and gensets run 24/7, and data center sites face increasingly strict noise limits from neighbors and authorities.

Vibration in the structure

Rotating equipment on roofs and slabs carries vibration and hum into the building unless every path is isolated – frames, pipes and cable routes.

Leaks at the rack

Direct-to-chip liquid cooling brings coolant to every rack. In a CDU or quick-disconnect coupling, a failed seal means an outage.

Shock in transit

Prefabricated modules, skids and power rooms travel long distances by road and sea. For many, transit is the most severe load they ever see.

How we work with you

Choose your role

Design it in from the first prototype

For engineering teams building gensets, chillers, CRAH units, CDUs, switchgear and battery storage. Our application engineers size isolation for your frame, supply samples for type testing and support you through to series release.

What you get

  • Isolation calculation for your equipment
  • Samples for type and transport testing
  • Application engineering close to your design and production sites

Applications

From grid connection to data hall

Power generation zone of a data center campus, with standby gensets

Power generation

Standby gensets carry the full IT load when the grid fails. Each set is a large rotating mass whose vibration must stay out of the building – and whose fuel, oil and coolant systems must stay sealed.

Typical productsConical mounts, Cushyfoot leveling mounts, RA mounts, fuel and coolant seals, panel cable entry plates.

AntivibrationEngine and alternator mounts, radiator and control-panel isolators, belly-tank pads for double isolation.

SealingFuel, lube-oil, coolant and exhaust seals in NBR, HNBR and FKM.

Cable entryCable entry plates for control panels and enclosures.

One partner per equipment package

Mounts, seals and cable entries from one technical contact

Most equipment packages need all three. Trelleborg brings antivibration, sealing and cable entry expertise together, with joint samples and one point of contact for your engineering team.

Conical antivibration mount

Antivibration

Conical, leveling, cylindrical and sandwich mounts, elastomer pads, flexible pipe connectors and transport mounts that keep vibration and shock out of structures and equipment.

O-ring seals

Sealing

O-rings, rotary and lip seals, flat gaskets and spring-energized seals for fuel, oil, coolant, compressor and liquid-cooling circuits.

Cable entry plate with cables

Cable entry

Entry plates, grommets and splitting systems for pre-terminated cables, rated IP66/67 and UL94 V-0, for switchgear, UPS, battery storage and modules.

Example: CDU pump skid

Antivibration – pump isolation

Sealing – quick-disconnect and pump seals

Cable entry – hose and cable entries
